This year I got a spooktacular mix from fellow mixmaker and artist Justine
Halloween is her favorite time of year and she put together a very cool mix

  I didn't make a halloween mix this year but justine inspires me! Perhaps next year!

After Sunset

I was looking for my Christmas CDs and starting to get ready for this years Christmas mix when I found this.
 Its a collection of jazz,Lounge and ambient music.
I made it in or around 2010.
Many of the selections were inspired my fellow mixmakers including Al Telstar and Uncle Orca (they're online names at the time!
sadly they are the few that I'm still in touch with but Uncle Orca and I still ratain out online friendship and swap mixes through the mail!

where to get music on a tight budget

Sometimes I have the urge to shop for new music  but cant spend the kind of money I want to.
The Library of a great way to find new music without spending a dime!
Many public braries have a CD section.
If you have heard of a singer or group the library is a great way to checkout new music.
Before checking out the CD inspect it for scratches. Not everyone takes good cares of CDs that are not theirs!
 My itunes has many library tracks in it. I have even made mixes dedicated to music I discovered from the library!
IMPORTANT NOTE Return your CDs on time are your will pay for it and fines suck!

Eclectic Elements 2016

I stepped back in time a bit foe this mix and went back to ny Rock N Roll roots but yeah this is a splash of jazz and African beats!
Despite what many say getting a CD mix or mixtape still is cool!
I still give mixes to friends and coworkers and they STILL dig em! some family members also like em!
My mixmaking friend Tex Hobart and I have resume trading mixes recently! My friend Larry aka Uncle Orca are die hard fans too! My friend Curt send me one when time permits!

Sometimes I'm surprised that  many folks still listen to CDs.Especially the teeneagera. I made a few Beach Cleaner mixes last summer and they still talk about them. One kid said to me the other day/ I hear you make mix tapes. Do you have any with you? no I replied but I'll bring some with me tomorrow.
The next day he was right there ..waiting. He was hapy to get it!
Musi is masic and mixes still produce smiles!

Here is a knight in shining armor promoting a new product I'm guessing.Either that or he's a deterrent for shoplifters! lol!!

Right after leaving the Liquor shop I saw this at the auto repair shop next door! This old girl i'm guessing is getting some work done for the next car show!

While I was at ny friends Chip and Joyces house a few of us sat on a nearby dock and watched the sunset on Scow ditch. What a beautiful sight!

So its 4th of July weekend and things are hoppin' here at the Jersey Shore! This bike  is owned and decorated by Zsa Zsa from the Refined shop. Lots of cool hand crafted art you will love!

I went to the Dunegrass Cafe for lunch and while I was waiting for my order I saw this. What is it?

In my travels I saw this and it clearly states to those walking their dogs NOT to let your dog go on their lawn.  Although his lawn is small the statement is clear. Sadly not everyone cleans up after there dog. How many times have I stepped in --it?

another try at the mix trade in January

I have another youtube friend interested in joining the mix trade. If there more than 10 people I'll give it a try! I miss not having it. The excitement of creating new friendships is cool. Turning someone onto music you like and possibly reintroducing them to a song they have not heard in years is thrilling.
Many of my fellow mixmakers have introduced me to cool music. My music education is furthered through other peoples mixes.
Al Telstar and Robert Song got me curious about world music. The Music of Africa and Ireland are my faves followed closely my Cuban and india.
 Larry aka uncle Orca and Al Telstar and two mixmakers I've known the longest.
Tex Hobert is a bluegrass and roots music fan and every now and then I enjoy that Sunday morning music as I call it.
I used to listen to a bluegrass program every Sunday on a local college station.
Join us and make new friends and get send and receive cool CD mixes!
